Pretty much anyone can get a package from point A to point B. Very few can get your shipment from somewhere to no where.
The Logistics of Nowhere
An emergency medical helicopter service relies on our ability to deliver no where! On many occasions the service is called to evacuate injured or ill people from extremely remote areas. In the unlikely event that the equipment suffers a mechanical breakdown, the people on the ground know that rapid deployment of mission critical components is essential. So while almost anyone could accomplish this within well defined, easily accessible parameters, the emergency service trusts no one except Critical Path to deliver the goods.
Many of the clients who first partnered with us almost 30 years ago are still relying on us to ensure timely, efficient, and trustworthy service. And, although much of the product created in the agency world is now transmitted digitally, there remain many occasions when a fast man on a bicycle is the best choice. That’s why we’re the courier of choice for the most creative people in the country.

The Aussie Dummy
At first blush, this task seemed pretty simple. Arrange for the shipment of a dummy created to look just like a real person from Australia to a film set in Canada. Where the shipment started to go off the rails was when we learned that included in the ‘coffin’ was a small packet of gelatine granules. Unless you were familiar with the myriad of agencies and regulators involved in international logistics you might not know that gelatine in its raw form is an animal product and could be considered a food product. This shipment would require clearance from the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Not such a big deal until you realize that the product arrived on a Friday and was needed for the shoot on Saturday. Get a government agency to work a weekend? We did it. All the necessary docs were completed and our dummy was delivered just in time to be blown up!
